This Privacy Policy describes how Tooldee ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Focusly ("the Service"), accessible at focusly.tooldee.app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you register
Usage Data: Ideas, projects, goals, tasks, check-ins, routines, and notes you create inside Focusly
Device Information: Browser type, device type, and operating system for improving compatibility
Log Data: IP address, pages visited, and timestamps for security and debugging

We do NOT collect payment card details. Payments (when activated) are handled directly by our payment gateway provider and are never stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Focusly service
Authenticate your account and keep it secure
Send important service updates and notifications
Respond to support requests and enquiries
Improve and optimize the user experience
Comply with legal obligations under Indian law

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database with row-level security). We implement industry-standard security measures including:

HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
Encrypted passwords (never stored in plain text)
Row-level security policies on all database tables
Regular security reviews

While we take all reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only with:

Supabase: Database and authentication provider
Resend: Email delivery service (for transactional emails only)
Payment Gateway: For processing payments (when activated) — they receive only what is necessary to process the transaction
Legal authorities: If required by law or court order

5. Cookies

Focusly uses essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. Please see our Cookie Policy for full details.

6. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable Indian law, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
Request deletion of your personal data
Withdraw consent for data processing
Nominate a person to exercise rights on your behalf

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Children's Privacy

Focusly is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the data immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of Focusly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
